How long have you been working in fitness?
I started working part time in 1993 while in college.
In 2001 I began working full time in fitness and have continued until now.

What are your qualifications?
I have been lucky enough to learn from and work with some of the best fitness instructors in the country
attending numerous trainings, conferences and classes with them.
I have several national certifications in fitness and massage therapy
.
These include:
AFPA Certified YogaFit
AFPA Certified PilatesFit
BodyPump Certified Instructor
ACE  Certified Personal Trainer
ACE  Certified Group Fitness Instructor
NCBTMB Certified Massage Therapist

Why don't you train at a gym?
After spending quite a few years working in gyms, fighting the crowds, yelling over the loud music and dealing
with the awful smells I decided that there had to be a better way.
As my training evolved I found that I was using the weights and machines in the gym less and less and doing
more functional strength training without any equipment.
My clients and I spent most of our time in the group exercise studio or in a quiet corner so we could have
privacy and workout without interruption.
I eventually started taking them outside so that we could have freedom to move and fresh air to breathe.
My clients looked and felt great, they were able to get results in half the time and they loved it so I decided to
do all of my training outside and in home their homes.

What is a typical class/session like?
Every session/class is different.
Private sessions are designed to your needs and fitness level.
Classes are designed to work for a broad range of fitness levels, body sizes etc...
Sessions/classes may include yoga, pilates, tai chi, agility training, plyometrics resistance training and more.
Every session/class is a full body workout that includes:
*core strength
*cardiovascular conditioning to increase the heart-rate
*resistance training to improving muscle tone & definition (shaping the butt, arms, back, shoulders etc...)
*endurance training for explosive power (both lower & upper body)
*balance and stability training
*flexibility training

How long do sessions/classes last?
Private sessions are 30 minutes long.
Classes are 45 minutes long.

Why are classes longer than private sessions?
Classes are longer because it takes longer to organize and demonstrate different options to a group than it
does with a single person.
The classes are very social...we work hard, but have fun chatting and laughing.
Private sessions are designed around your specific needs so there is less time spent explaining different
levels.

Should I do classes or private sessions?
Typically they decision is best made by you.
In rare cases I will suggest people only do private session because they have limitations which will not allow
them to fully participate in a class.
Many people choose private sessions because they prefer the one on one attention or because the class
schedule does not work with there schedule.
Classes are a great way to get personalized attention without spending alot of money.
Classes are also a great way to meet new people.
Many people find that they work harder when they are in a group.

I would like to do a class but your schedule does not work with mine.
Is there an alternative?
I do offer "private" classes.
If you would like to get a group of friends, co-workers etc together and do a class we can make arrangements
for that.

How often do I have to come to class/sessions?
I offer classes/sessions everyday but Sunday.
You can come  as often or as little as you like.
Some people workout with me as a supplement to their current program and others workout only with me.
We can discuss your individual needs/goals and work out a schedule that works best for you.

How to you get results in such a short session?
We are able to get such great results because we use our time efficiently.
Unlike working out in the gym, we do not spend alot of time waiting in line to use or readjust equipment.
Most of what we do works multiple muscles at the same time so we gain functional strength, burn more
calories and are able to work the entire body at a high intensity in a very short amount of time.

What is functional strength?
Functional strength is strength that translates to your everyday life.
The strength gained makes everyday activities easier to do.
Things like getting up and down the stairs, carrying groceries, taking out the trash and strutting around in
your new bikini all get easier to do.
Functional strength also lessens your chance of injury and make your more structurally balanced.
